Orvieto: History, mystery and taste

Transfer by minivan to Orvieto (80 km – about 1 hour).
Orvieto is a wonderful city perched on a tuff cliff. Visit of the Well of Saint Patrick, a masterpiece ofengineering made by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger in the 16th century to supply water to the city in case of disaster. Continuation to the medieval quarter, entrance to the hypogeum environments of the Pozzo della Cava, visit of the caves which include Etruscan tombs, cisterns and cellars.
Light lunch with tasting of 3 wines, cold cuts, bruschetta, crostini, dry pastry and wine.
Walk through the streets of the old town up to the Cathedral of Romanesque origin: inside the Chapel of San Brizio it is possible to admire the prestigious frescoes by Luca Signorelli, Benozzo Gozzoli and Beato Fra Angelico
Return to San Gemini in the late afternoon.
