“Valnerina and the Secret of Truffle”

Meeting with the tour leader/ driver at Sangemini Palace
Transfer by minivan to Ferentillo (35 km – about 30 minutes).
Meeting with the staff for a “truffle hunting” experience in the reserve, accompanied by expert quarrymen and the inevitable dogs.
Afterwards, an interesting cooking class, to discover the secrets of the black gold of Umbria: how to prepare the base sauce, which oil to use, the combination of truffles with eggs, ideas for appetizers, for first courses and for meat and fish main courses.
Guests will be able to taste a truffle-based lunch that favors matching with typical local and seasonal products. The restaurant sommeliers will explain the choice of wines choosen to enhance the truffle.
In the afternoon, meeting with the tour guide to visit the Benedictine Abbey of Lombard origin, San Pietro in Valle where you can admire the “Ursus Magester” altarpiece as well as the twelfth-century cycle of frescoes.
Continuation to the Museum of Mummies, in the crypt of the medieval Church of Santo Stefano: a unique place where the bodies of the inhabitants of the village are perfectly preserved.
Return to San Gemini in the late afternoon.
“Spring in Umbria”

Meeting with the tour leader/ driver at Sangemini Palace
Transfer by minivan to Papigno (Terni) (25 km – about 25 minutes)
Meeting with the staff for a briefing, training and start of a fun Rafting Soft experience (also suitable for children)
Advanced * along the rapids of the Nera river near the Marmore Falls.
Duration 2 hours approx.
At the end transfer to lake of Piediluco.
Boat ride with stops for taking photos and drinks on board.
Time: approximately 1 hour.
Gourmet lunch overlooking the lake.
In the afternoon, transfer to the Marmore Falls Park, the highest in Europe, for
trekking along the park paths to admire the jump from different viewpoints.
Duration of the visit about 2 hours.
Return to San Gemini in the late afternoon.
“Bevagna Tour with hot air balloon flight”
About 05:30 am
Transfer to Bevagna from Sangemini Palace (52 km – about 1hr).
Balloon Flight over Medieval Borought, vineyards and olive trees, from the Umbrian Valley to the Tiber River Valley (about 1hr flight)
At the end, you’ll reach a winery to taste typical umbrian breakfast combined by three local wines.

Transfer to Bevagna historic center
Walking through the medieval village, one of the most beautiful in Italy, with its Medieval Workshops (Mercato delle Gaite): the ancient paper mill, the silk factory, the painter and the waxworks (about 2 hrs)
Visit to an ancient oil mill, to discover the pressing process and taste a light lunch with a quality extravirgin olive oil and typical products.
Way back to Sangemini Palace around 3:00pm
